Of the big four donut shops in Melbourne, Donut Shop Coffee and Donuts is the best, in my opinion. They have excellent flavours, their Passionfruit flavour and Mocha Crunch are my favourites. The dough of the doughnuts is fluffy, and while some other donut shops sell very oily donuts, the dough in these ones moist and fairly light. The glazes or crumbs on top of the donut always have a punch of flavour, (especially one with a dulce de leche glaze that I remember having) and some of their flavours are quite creative. Last week I had a gluten free hundreds and thousands donut, and though it was gluten free and I am not, it was still very nice. The interior of the store is clean, cosy and has a lovely minimalistic aesthetic. Sometimes the person manning the shop can be a bit cold and hostile or subtly mocking at my buying of three donuts, especially nearing the end of the day, when they have nearly run out of donuts and are ready to pack up, however, I am willing to pay the price of sub-par service for excellent donuts.
Donut Shop’s iced coffees are also delicious. My soy iced latte was nicely bitter and reasonably cheap at about $4 and it was obvious the person serving knew the dynamics of soy milk, as the soy milk was appropriately shaken and had no sediment, however, I do wish there were multiple size options for cold drinks, as I would have appreciated a larger serve.

With the crazy doughnut vibe going on In Melbourne at the moment, I would say its pretty hard to find a bad doughnut shop. Well guess what? Today I did!!! The place was cosy and the staff were friendly but the doughnuts were blander that an a4 sheet of paper. At 5 bucks a pop you would expect a lot more. Better doughnuts at coles.

Delicious desserts delivered (UberEats) to your house. I love their donuts. Cannot wait to try more donuts again soon. Don’t hesitate to spoil yourself with some delicious donuts.

I was lucky to have these donuts as my birthday cakes and oh boy, it was so good! The dough is soft and fluffy and the toppings/dressings were not too sweet. Just the perfect amount of sugar and calories 🙂

Hands down best donuts in Melbourne! Donut Shop is a little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, with a simple menu which feature vegan donuts as well as general ones. Their coffee is very nice and they also offer matcha lattes (if that’s your thing). Their donuts are always so fresh and are prepared at the back of the cafe which is open so you can watch them roll out the dough, bake and ice the donuts. My favourites would definitely include the PBJ and the mocha crunch donut (pictured below). Definitely worth a visit!

We loved the look of Donut Shop, Coffee & Donuts. Simple, cosy, little doughnut shop hidden away. Staff are lovely. Amazing matcha latte – perfect, not too sweet and not too gritty. Their PBJ doughnut is the freshest, most delicious doughnut you can have! Dough is soft, fresh and the Peanut Butter & Jam is delicious – not to mention VEGAN as well! Some of the other flavours were a little less tasty but maybe it was just us?

TIP: Do try the cinnamon, glaze or any of the vegan doughnuts! Not big fans of some of their other flavours were a bit tasteless…

My favourite donuts, they are soft, fluffy and delicious. Don’t taste artificial like some. Also love having a few vegan options to choose from.
