This is a great spot for drinks and food before a show at the Bowery Ballroom. The location is perfect as it’s right next door. Wonderful spot for a few pre-show drinks and a bite to eat. They have an impressive craft beer selection, plus good food, in a classy but casual environment.When entering you are greeted by dual bars to the left and right. Plenty of seating all around them, and a room in the back with tables and even a small patio area. We took a table in the back for our group and were immediately met by a waitress who handed us three menus – beer list, food, and cocktails. We asked what she thought about a few of them and gave us some terrific suggestions. I went with a beer, rum, and oj cocktail that was pretty refreshing on a humid summer day. The rest went with a mix of beers and cocktails – all perfect choices. The food here is spot-on for pub fare. Mexican Flatbreads that had a nice kick to them. Spinach and mushroom croquettes that were good. Tasty artichoke and spinach dip with baked pita chips which we devoured. My highlight were the mini burger sliders. Hot damn these were juicy and delish! We had a plate of three to share and I could have eaten them all myself! As I stated before the craft beers here were surprisingly diverse and well thought out. Beers like Allagash Confluence to Ommegang Fleur de Houblon to Captain Lawrence Brown Bird Brown Ale to Stone Smoked Porter With Chipotle to Jolly Pumpkin Oro De Calabaza, and so many more! What great choices from tap to bottles and specialty featured beers. If you are a beer nerd you can’t go wrong here! Even better is that you can come back in after a show next door to relax over a few brews and rehash the evening.Nice service, clean bathrooms too, and the overall damage with the bill was not too bad considering with reasonable prices on food and drink. Definitely a winner! Would be here a lot if I lived in the area blog.theregularguynyc.com
